Plans are now being finalized for this year's TSIR student visit to Japan. We are traveling the first two weeks of July.
As you may know, Doshu has previously organized and 'chaperoned' trips for TSIR friends and students. On these trips they visited Japan's historical sights as they relate to the martial arts.
These trips provide an opportunity to visit martial arts dojos and train in Japan with friends and associates of Doshu's. Travelers learn more about how, and from where, the art of TSIR developed; Japanese history and the importance of true martial arts mindset.
If you are interested, please contact the TSIR office.
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND: Doshu Shintaku visited Scotland to teach the art of Ten Shin Ichi Ryu. The weekend went extremely well, and Doshu enjoyed meeting the kind students of Charles Gallacher Sensei. Thank you to all those who attended and a special thanks to Sensei and his family for hosting the event.
KENSINGTON, MD: Ten Shin Ichi Ryu is honored to host a special event with the International Shinto Foundation. Shichi-go-san (meaning "7-5-3") is a traditional ceremony, in which children ages 7, 5 and 3 receive blessings for sturdy growth, health, happiness, and long life. Please check back for details and contact the TSIR office if you would like your child to participate. Learn more about the Shinto Shichigosan Celebration »
